It is a gift from the wild.
A herd of deer grazes in the forest clearing. A twig snaps. Instantly the deer are alert - ready to flee in the forest. If cornered they might fight. Each animal becomes still. Muscles tensed, they listen and sniff the air. Then, deeming it insignificant they return to warming themselves in the morning sun and begin to vibrate in the upper part of the neck around the ears and then the vibration spreads down the chest, shoulders and the finally down into the abdomen, pelvis and hind legs. The deer moves through this rhythmic cycle dozens, perhaps hundred times a day.
